- **Event Description**: Thanks to the generosity of Keswick Theatre, join PFS/M.A.C. on Tuesday, January 20th @ 7 PM for a FREE evening of music. Husband-and-wife acoustic guitar and flute duo Rusty and Jan and singer-songwriter Valentina Sounds will perform a FREE show at the Annex (7–8 pm; doors open at 6:30 pm). 
Join us for an evening of acoustic familiarity with a classic woodwind twist and refreshing and hopeful original songs!  

Emcee: Rob Lincoln. Stop by our membership table! The bar will be open! Following the main act, there will be an opportunity for local artists to shine in our in-person PFS open mic. About the Artists:

Rusty and Jan have been a popular fixture on the Philadelphia, PA, folk scene since 2000. By utilizing their divergent backgrounds, they create modern interpretations of many well-known songs. They play a diverse assortment of styles, including original music, standards, folk, Americana, and classical. Rusty and Jan are the weekly hosts of Philly Folk Scene on WPPM 106.5 on Thursdays from 5 to 7 pm. Delivering "acoustic familiarity with a classic woodwind twist," this husband-and-wife acoustic guitar and flute duo released their first album, Pop's Train, in 2023. Rusty and Jan.com

Valentina Sounds is an Italian-born/Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter. Coined as "therapy pop," Valentina Sounds' music brings in a refreshing and hopeful spin on themes that touch everyone's lives... Sarcastic, fun, catchy, and upbeat, Valentina draws you in with her powerful vocals, compelling arrangements, and heartfelt lyrics. Her newest release, the positive and uplifting pop/rock anthem "Wake Me Up," caught the attention of WXPN and Delaware Public Media. Although inspired by experiencing a near-death accident that prevented Valentina from singing and playing for nearly a year, the song spins this traumatic event and ongoing recovery into a message filled with empathy and hope.
