ABOUT THE ARTISTS
This soul stirring band revolves around the mystical poetry of RUMI, a 13th century Sufi saint, and features Michael London on vocals and guitar, Paul Butler on wind instruments, Larry Cohen on bass and Bill Marconi on drums. The interplay of these fine musicians–some of Philadelphia’s best–with Michael’s tunes as well as classic folk, jazz, and blues songs, transforms and elevates them. Michael’s original songs carry his unique sense of humor while speaking to the central themes of living with passion and true joy. An interpreter of Rumi’s poetry, Michael’s songs based on the master’s poems make tangible our connection to the self, humanity, nature and beyond.
