I have said this for years and I still believe that John Carney is the best proponent of pure sleight-of-hand magic, whether for close-up, parlor or stand-up, in the world today. I recently saw John do his 30-minute stand-up show at The House of Cards in Nashville and that reminded me of how true my statement is. 

John will be appearing at House of Magic doing his 60-minute show and if you miss it, you are missing something truly great. John has agreed to stay in town to present a workshop at House of Magic.

It will take place from 11:00am until 2:00pm. The material in this workshop will be determined by you. Bring specific routines or techniques that you want to work on. Perform the routine or sleight and get specific feedback and suggestions for improvement. This can be technique related or approach or presentation based. John will provide coaching, advice and encouragement to take your magic to the next level. You will get the benefit of his experience and knowledge gained from a lifetime of complete immersion in magic and the teachings of his mentors like Dai Vernon, Charlie Miller and Faucett Ross.

John will talk about creativity, how to create new and original material, how to add personal touches to routines you already know and the approach to study. In addition, he will talk about how to write a presentation, learning stage craft, and what misdirection really is. This is an incredible opportunity to learn magic from one of the best in the world in an intimate setting. This is a hands-on workshop and will only be as good as the questions you ask and what you bring to learn.
