# Event Details - **Event Name**: The Handmade Exchange: A Fall Gathering - **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 25 Oct, 2026 at 01:00 pm – Sun, 25 Oct, 2026 at 03:00 pm (-04:00) - **Event Description**: Calling all painters, crafters, bakers, makers, and creative friends! (Actually we're calling just 12 of you, but you can get on the wait list for the next date if you're interested, so keep reading...) Our ADK Creative Works community has been asking for a handmade exchange—and we’re making it happen! Join us for a cozy autumn gathering filled with creativity, laughter, inspiration, and plenty of wonderful handmade surprises. Each guest will create (in your own home/studio, not at ADK CW) a set of 12 fall-inspired items to share with the other participants. Your creations may be identical or made in a coordinating style. They can be painted, stitched, baked, poured, printed, crocheted, upcycled, assembled, grown, or created using whatever medium you love most! Be sure to download the attached list of 100 Handmade Exchange Ideas. Some ideas include: (See attached idea list) 🍁 Small painted or crafted decorations 🧶 Fiber art or crocheted creations 🕯️ Candles, wax melts, or handmade soaps 🍪 Wrapped homemade treats 📚 Bookmarks, tags, cards, or mini journals 🌿 Botanical or nature-inspired pieces 🎃 Small upcycled or seasonal treasures The goal is to bring something you truly enjoy making and would be delighted to receive yourself. During our gathering, everyone will have a chance to share a little about what they made, how they created it, and what inspired their project. We’ll exchange our creations, enjoy some creative time together, and go home with a wonderful assortment of handmade autumn treasures! Now, if you're thinking you might like this, DON'T put off signing up because we're limiting this to the first 12 TWELVE makers that sign up, and it's going to go fast!! But don't dismay, we can start a wait list or you can wait till November and December, when we're doing it again. WHAT TO BRING: * 12 handmade fall-inspired items, safely packaged and ready to share * A basket, tote, or bag for carrying home your new treasures * Your creative spirit and a willingness to have fun! Feeling extra inspired? You may bring one additional creation for our Creative Kindness Basket. This collection will be gifted to someone in our community who could use a little encouragement and handmade happiness. We will pick that someone together at the Exchange. This is not about making something elaborate, expensive, or perfect. It is about sharing what we love to create, trying something fun, and celebrating the wonderfully talented people in our creative community. Come for the handmade treasures, stay for the laughter and friendship, and leave with a basket full of fall happiness! 🍁 Date: Sunday, October 25th 🍁 Time: 1:00 PM 🍁 Location: ADK Creative Works, Studio G07 at The Shirt Factory (see directions below) 🍁 Registration: $10 (covers refreshments and ads) Space will be limited so that every registered maker receives a creation from each participant.
