Our two headline hikes take us onto Helvellyn, one of the Lake District’s most famous mountains, followed by the magnificent St Sunday Crag, rising high above the Ullswater and Patterdale valleys. Expect proper mountain days, big climbs, rocky trails, sweeping ridges and some absolutely spectacular views across the Eastern Fells.🕓 WEEKEND SCHEDULEFRIDAY 30 APRIL Travel to the Lake District, arrive at our accommodation, settle in and meet the group. A relaxed evening ready for the weekendSATURDAY 1 MAY – HELVELLYN 🥾 Our first challenge is Helvellyn, one of the great mountains of the Lake District. A full day on the Eastern Fells, climbing through classic Lakeland mountain scenery towards the broad summit of Helvellyn with huge views across the surrounding peaks and valleys. Approx. 13–15 km | 800–950 m ascent | 6–7 hours hikingSUNDAY 2 MAY – ST SUNDAY CRAG 🥾 Day two takes us onto the superb St Sunday Crag, rising dramatically above Patterdale and Grisedale. A fantastic mountain hike with a sustained climb onto the ridge and brilliant views towards Helvellyn, Fairfield, Ullswater and the surrounding Eastern Fells. This is another proper mountain day with steep sections, rocky paths and plenty of ascent.
