The workshop will begin with a brief overview of photography basics, followed by discussion around tips and tricks to craft images with purpose. We'll cover such topics as which lenses to use for which types of photography, how to adjust camera settings for different lighting conditions, capturing higher quality photos at events and composing more engaging photos around town or while travelling.Participants will then have the opportunity for some hands-on practice using their own cameras and each other as models, concluding with a quick lesson on editing and some time for questions.This session is aimed at those who already have a basic understanding of their camera but may want to learn how to shoot in manual mode and do more with their photos. Best suited to amateur photographers or those who may need to take photos as part of their work.While the workshop will be taught from the perspective of a Nikon user, the tips and techniques discussed will be applicable to all camera brands. Please dress for conditions as we may have an outdoor excursion if weather permits.This workshop is part of South Australia's Firstival program.For adults and teens, 16 years and over.
