You’ll also learn about edible cacti and succulents—including prickly pear, agaves, and aloe—as well as lesser-known herbs like epazote, shiso, saffron, and Cuban oregano.

The focus will be on how these plants grow in our climate, including site selection, planting considerations, seasonal care, and what to expect as they mature. We’ll also touch on which plants are best suited for different spaces, from in-ground plantings to containers.
