- **Event Description**: Let's sketch at Forest Lawn Glendale, a Southern California landmark since 1906. Forest Lawn is surrounded by unparalleled views of the Los Angeles skyline (including the hills above Altadena, recently denuded).  It has many wonderful subjects to sketch, including wonderful statuary, structures and a world-renowned art museum.   It is home to two of the largest religious paintings in the Western hemisphere. 

10:00 – MEET at the entrance to the Forest Lawn Museum at the top of the hill of Forest Lawn. After entering Forest Lawn at 1712 S. Glendale Ave., proceed up the hill following signs to the museum. 12:30 – RECONVENE at the entrance to the Forest Lawn Museum for a throw down to share our work, introductions and group photo.

BRING: Your favorite sketching media and a folding chair or stool if you'd like to sit. There are many benches at the venue as well.  We discourage oils and acrylics but dry or water-based sketching media is fine.  If you’re new to sketching, your equipment can be as simple as a pencil and a sketchbook.

All are welcome whether beginner or seasoned pro.

*The museum opens at 10:00 and closes at 5:00 on Sunday 2/2/25.
