In “Just Let the Kid Go,” that choice lights a fuse. Its consequences spill into “The Firepit,” where survival demands preparation, not hesitation. With the gang closing in, trust is fragile, and the drifter must sharpen skills long left dormant if he hopes to keep them both alive.
