October 2025 Members Meeting

Join us for Glendale Arizona Historical Society’s October 2025 members meeting as we welcome Sunnyslope Historical Society president, Julia Taggert who will speak on Historic Preservation In Today’s World.

Julia is American/ Canadian and at the age of 25, is currently the youngest museum president in the country. She is the dynamic, innovative president of the Sunnyslope Historical Society. Julia is well known and respected for her preservation efforts in numerable locations around the state of Arizona. Her latest exhibit has been celebrating 70 years of the beloved Wallace & Ladmo Show, which is on display at Sunnyslope. Her upcoming exhibit is on the history of radio and television broadcasting in Arizona.

Light refreshments will be served after the meeting and are graciously provided to GAHS by The Spicery In Our 1895 Home, Glendale’s oldest tearoom.

Please enter Manistee Ranch from 51st Avenue and park in the parking lot or go through the vehicle gate and park near the house. Members are welcome to bring a guest. Non~members are also welcome to attend and learn about GAHS and historic Manistee Ranch.
