In this free 1-hour class, you’ll discover practical ways to modify sunlight exposure, temperature, wind, and moisture levels to support everything from water-wise native plants to fruit trees and vegetable gardens.

We’ll explore strategies like positioning shade trees and structures, using mulch and groundcovers, creating wind protection, and incorporating other landscape elements that reduce heat stress and improve growing conditions. Whether you want to conserve water, extend your growing season, or create more enjoyable outdoor living spaces, you’ll leave with practical, desert-smart ideas to make the most of your garden.
