This beginner-friendly class, presented in partnership with the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC), will introduce you to the basics of preparing delicious meals over a campfire, camp stove, or other outdoor cooking setup.

We’ll cover essential equipment, fire and heat management, meal planning, cookware, food safety, and simple techniques for cooking outdoors. You’ll learn practical tips for preparing satisfying meals with minimal fuss, whether you’re spending a weekend at the campground, enjoying a backyard fire, or heading out on your next adventure.

No prior outdoor cooking experience is needed. Come ready to learn, get hands-on, and gain the confidence to make your next outdoor meal one to remember.

Open to women aged 12+. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must sign a Liability Waiver, located on our website, to attend.
