- **Event Description**: Join Washington Revels as we chase away Winter and celebrate the seasonal reopening of the 105-year-old Dentzel Carousel at Glen Echo Park Partnership’s annual Carousel Day!
Washington Revels will kick off the celebration with a festive musical procession throughout the park (11:00 a.m.). Following the parade, all are invited to take part in some joyous dancing around the Maypole. Throughout the day, see a Latin American mummers play, inspired by traveling La Carpa–tent shows that toured Mexico and the southwestern United States in the early 1900s.

All are welcome to this free, family-friendly event—performances by many other local artists will take place throughout the day, as well as kids’ arts and crafts, open artist studios and galleries, and much more. And, of course, you are invited to ride the historic carousel.

Later in the day, at 4:00 p.m., we will present a full May Revels performance at the National Cathedral Flower Mart.
