Oak Hill Community Park and Forest

These volunteer work days will mostly consist of mowing either side of the designated trail. We recommend wearing appropriate clothing for running a W**d eater. Our staff wear long pants and shirts to help protect with plant debris/material. Before each workday, we will cover a safety talk and recommended practices when using small engine equipment. We will be in contact with each other but expect to be mowing along your set section of trail for a good bit of the work day.

REQUIREMENTS: 
Participants must be 16+ or have a guardian present. No previous experience required. All tools, training, and snacks provided. Just come with an open mind and a smile!

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Enter through the main entrance to the park. The main lot is on the right hand side.
Snacks & waters will be available at the start & throughout the workday.
Gloves and eye/ear protection will be provided
Bending, squatting, lifting, etc.
Carrying a small backpack with fuel canisters and water

WHAT TO BRING:
A sense of adventure!
Comfortable clothing (stretchy/water-wicking materials) suitable for the weather
We recommend long sleeves and pants
Close-toed shoes (preferably boots)
Daypack or small bag to carry water & personal belongings
