Children experience big feelings and sometimes, those emotions show up as challenging behaviours. In this practical and insightful session, psychologist Jess Staples from @treatyourselfwellsydney will guide parents and carers through how to better understand and support children’s emotional development.

You’ll learn about:

✨ What it means to be regulated vs dysregulated, across different ages and stages

✨ Strategies for prevention, managing emotions in the moment, and follow-up support

✨ Common triggers like hunger, tiredness, or changes at home

✨ When behaviours may signal deeper concerns — and when to seek help

✨ How emotional regulation can look different in neurodivergent children (e.g. ADHD, global developmental delay)

This session is designed to empower families with knowledge, empathy, and practical tools, so you can respond to big emotions with confidence and care.
