What to Expect
We'll walk through the lanes, meeting notable and veteran trees including the Avalon Oak, and Gog and Magog. Matt will share practical identification techniques, talk about the trees from a personal, cultural, spiritual and creative perspective. We'll enjoy conversation on nature-based themes, and Matt will recite seasonal poetry and prose dedicated to the trees. The walk will conclude with a song dedicated to the trees.

About Matt & To The Trees
Matt is a tree enthusiast based in Glastonbury, Somerset. He has been hosting tree walks and guided tours in the area for the past six years and has lived as an artist and creative soul in Glastonbury since 2012.

Alongside practical tree identification, Matt brings a creative approach to nature connection, integrating spoken word and song into his walks in the bardic tradition. His focus is on deepening our relationship with trees and the natural world through observation and creative collaboration.
