As Ama grows up, she threatens the boundaries of their tenderness, and forces Grace to reckon with a past that she struggles to forget.   Watch the trailer for ‘Girl’  Film running time: 87 min  About the director Adura Onashile is a Glasgow-based artist working across film and theatre. Her debut feature, ‘Girl’, premiered at Sundance in 2023 and won the Fiction Award at the BlackStar Film Festival. The film was BAFTA-nominated for Best Film and Best Director. Adura is currently developing her second feature with HomeTeam and BBC Films.  Her short film ‘Expensive Shit’, adapted from her award-winning play of the same name, premiered at the 2020 BFI London Film Festival and was nominated for a BAFTA in 2021.
