Between 1910 and 1944 McInnes amassed a significant collection of French Impressionist, Glasgow Boy and Scottish Colourist paintings which he bequeathed to the City of Glasgow. In 1944 the bequest catapulted the French representation in the civic collections of Glasgow to major significance.** This listing is for tickets to attend in person at GCHT. His MLitt dissertation, ‘The McInnes Collection' was written - William McInnes (1868-1944) a Glaswegian shipowner who bequeathed his collection to Glasgow in 1944. James has lectured widely on this subject and is working towards further publications.James is a specialist in Collections Management and Valuation Services and advises both professional contacts and private clients internationally.
