She writes, 'I am a multi-disciplinary scholar, fascinated by cities, and working in between the realms of geography, urban planning, urban design, architecture, sociology, and urban policy. I am driven by my passion to find ways in which cities can be helped to restructure/regenerate and sometimes reinvent themselves, and by harnessing their creative energies, become more liveable, equal and better 21st century environments. Through my work I hope to help in our common effort of living better lives in our contemporary cities, and I support innovative and experimental solutions that challenge the status quo and promote more sustainable and just urban futures.'Caitlin Arbuckle-MacLeod is an RTPI Chartered Planner and Urban Designer at Collective Architecture who holds a Masters in City Planning from the University of Glasgow and a Master of Architecture from the University of Edinburgh. Her interdisciplinary professional experience in architecture, planning, and urbanism has led her to explore the intersection of design with wider issues such as policy, governance, and social justice, as in her award-winning Masters thesis 'Who Owns the Clyde?', which examines the impact of landownership conditions on spatial planning and placemaking on the River Clyde Development Corridor. She has written, given talks and led events for the Academy of Urbanism, the Scottish Planner, SEDA, RIAS Quarterly and Voices of Experience, and was recently shortlisted for Young Planner of the Year by RTPI Scotland.Dr Andrew Hoolachan is a lecturer in Urban and Regional Planning. Andrew has worked between academia and policy, conducting research at Future Cities Catapult, LSE Cities and the New Local Government Network as well as at the University of Manchester and St Andrews.
