- **Event Description**: Full day programme of talks, film, performance, and conversation on art and quantum physicsAbout this Eventwave, clock, forecastart & science symposium4 July 2026 | University of Glasgow Concert Hall | 11amwave, clock, forecast is a one-day symposium and commissioning initiative exploring the intersections of quantum science and artistic research with questions of perception, uncertainty, and speculative thought.Quantum science describes a world that is probabilistic, relational, and sensitive to observation, and suggests that reality is fundamentally quantum. With recent acceleration of the quantum computing race, there has been sustained public attention and increased artistic interest in the elusive, enigmatic, and paradigm-shifting properties of quantum mechanics. This programme presents and reflects on artistic perspectives and art-science collaborations to consider the role of art in relation to scientific research and emerging technoscientific paradigms. Its three movements (wave, clock, forecast) run through the day as a fluid context, bringing together artists, researchers, curators, and thinkers for talks, film, performance, and conversation.Contributions from Mathias Arrignon, Emilia Beatriz, Edy Fung, Metahaven, Ana Prendes, and Semiconductor. With Sarah Cook, Ashley Lyons, Kevin Mitchell, and Marija Vaskevičiūtė.Hosted by Bilyana Palankasova.? 11am - 8pm, 04.07.2026?
