- **Event Description**: The School of Social and Political Sciences Innovative Pedagogy Hub is organising its third annual Best Practice in Social Science Teaching.About this EventThe conference showcases class activities that demonstrate imaginative teaching, so colleagues can share and develop new ideas for their own classrooms going forward. The conference allows colleagues to experience the activities as a student.The day will kick off with a keynote address on AI in teaching from Professor Cathy Elliott, Vice Dean (Education) of the UCL Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences. The full 2026 programme will be annnounced at the end of March but previous years have included activities demonstrating co-creation with students, storytelling in the classroom, skills based learning, technology and AI, gamification and simulations, among other active learning strategies.Lunch is provided for all attendees. We welcome attendees who can only come to part of the day.
