To Absent Friends - a meaningful event of remembrance!

We’re honoured to be taking part in this year’s To Absent Friends festival, which takes place across Scotland from the 1st to 7th of November 2025. The festival gives people a reason to remember, to tell stories, to celebrate and to reminisce about people we love who have died.

Join us, alongside our friends at Bishopbriggs Crematorium and Westerleigh Group, for a meaningful event of remembrance, where we’ll celebrate the lives of loved ones who are no longer with us.

What to Expect:

A Warm Scottish Welcome: Start the evening with the uplifting sound of a Scottish piper, a warm welcome, and a relaxing 'cuppa' and a biscuit.

Time to Reflect: Enjoy a specially curated slideshow of pictorial memories and a playlist of music submitted by attendees.

• Creative Ways to Remember: Take part in gentle, hands-on activities and creative workshops designed to help you honour your loved one's memory. All activities are completely optional. You can choose to simply sit, listen, and reflect.
• Live Music: Enjoy a special musical interlude from our talented celebrants and friends.
• Optional Tour: For those interested, there will be an opportunity for a brief, respectful tour of the crematorium.
• Information & Support: Resources will be available on memorialisation, lasting legacies, and avenues for support.

This event is open to anyone from the surrounding community and beyond. Whether you choose to share a story, create a tribute, or simply be in a supportive space, our aim is to create a warm, non-compulsory atmosphere.

Let’s come together to honour memories, share stories, and connect through reflection, music, and creativity.

To Absent Friends Gathering
A gentle, informal evening of music, memory-sharing, creative remembrance, and reflection, with opportunities to take part in meaningful activities or simply sit back and absorb the atmosphere.
