To that end: what kind of sensors do we need? How do we deploy them? How do we analyse the date we collect?For this Sustainability Salon, we’re inviting key players in Scotland and the UK to share what’s needed – and what’s possible. This includes:Manufacturers and deployment specialists who understand the practicalities of producing, placing, and maintaining sensors.Academics who can develop new technologies to solve challenges and gather data in sustainable ways.Landowners, transport operators, and environmentalists who want to ensure that data collection doesn’t disrupt or harm the environments where sensors are installed.Analysts who can help determine if, where, and how many sensors are needed to get the right information.About the Sustainability SalonsOrganised by Knowledge Exchange Associate David Hughes, the Sustainability Salons bring together the practical knowledge of industry and the technical and theoretical expertise of academics, to inspire projects that will help solve sustainability issues. We have EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) funding available to support these projects.
