Our Glasgow Skills Hub is based inside the stunning IHG Glasgow Grand Central Hotel on Gordon Street, giving you a front-row seat to the fast-paced world of hospitality. 

Each week, you’ll head out across the city to explore some of Glasgow’s best hotels, restaurants, bars, and tourism venues, such as Kimpton Blythswood Square, Hilton, Marriott, YOTEL, The SEC Hydro, The Corinthian Club, Dakota Hotel, Radisson Blu, Moxy Hotels, Princes Square and some independent restaurant & bars. You’ll meet employers, inspiring ambassadors, and get full behind-the-scenes access, and really experience what hospitality life looks like in Scotland’s biggest city.

Our training is hands-on, practical, and fun, giving you daily insight and experience across a huge variety of roles, delivered by relevant industry tutors and experts, plus quick access to real job opportunities!

⭐ Skills You’ll Build

Throughout the 8-week experience, you’ll build work-ready skills that Glasgow employers are looking for, including:

Customer service & communication

Teamwork and leadership basics

Barista, food service, cookery and front-of-house skills

Hotel operations, events, and reception skills

Tourism knowledge & guest experience training

Problem-solving and staying calm under pressure

Professional confidence and positive workplace habits

Timekeeping, organisation & reliability

CV building, interview skills & job-search support
