It will be shown at the GFT on Saturday 1st August.You’re invited to step into a RECORDING BOOTH situated in Garnethill Park. The booth will be open for people to share stories and memories of the local area. This will be a welcoming sensory space for residents, families, and those passing through the park, to sit and talk. We will reflect on how cities can be designed to be more engaging and playful - asking questions to those in the booth - What do you enjoy about Sauchiehall Street? What could make it more FUN? What memories do you have of being in public spaces - like the parks, shops, or pedestrianised areas of Glasgow?The collected audio recordings will become part of the film, celebrating the diverse voices of the Garnethill and city centre community. This is an opportunity to express yourself, tell stories through film and audio, and collaborate on a creative project.The booth will be open to all ages. Children must be supervised. We would also like to capture conversations between two people (or more) in the booth.This is a FREE any time from 11.00am - 3.00pm, but to help us keep an eye on numbers, we're asking people to book a slot!Reccomended age: 3+ with parent/career supervisionThis event is a part of the Weekend of Play programme, organised by Glasgow Building Preservation Trust and the Sauchiehall Street: Culture and Heritage District.
