It is made from primarily from oak galls; hard, round growths that form on an oak tree when a gall wasp lays its eggs. There are other material additions which change the resulting colour,  consistency and longevity of the ink.  In this hands-on session, Mo will share the history and traditional process behind the ink before you get stuck in and start experimenting. No previous drawing or ink-making experience is necessary. This is a relaxed, practical session where the emphasis is on curiosity, experimentation and making new connections between ourselves, nature and our past. Thursday 22 October7pm–9pm Inkling, Glasgow SouthsideAll materials are provided, including a cup of tea and a biscuit!
