Participants will have the chance to practise strokes, experiment with ink and brush movement, and create their own personalised calligraphy artwork to take home.Suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some experience, the workshop encourages mindfulness, creativity, and cultural exploration in a friendly and supportive environment. Attendees will leave with new creative skills, a deeper appreciation of Japanese artistic traditions, and a handmade piece of calligraphy created during the session.About Kanae:Kanae is a Japanese artist and designer based in Glasgow whose work is inspired by the charm, humour, and storytelling traditions of Japanese culture. Alongside my studio practice, I work as a freelance creative workshop coordinator, leading hands-on sessions in Japanese calligraphy, printmaking, and paper crafts. My work aims to spark joy, curiosity, and imagination for people of all ages.
