Slam headline the closing weekend of the Merchant City Festival at the incredible Old Fruit Market. There's an amazing array of talent on the lineup with a series of specially curated back to back DJ sets from Gary Beck + Co-Accused, Nightwave + Posthuman, Quail + KAAI and Kairogen + Fear E.
These selectors represent the underground culture of Glasgow, regularly playing and promoting in the city's grassroots venues including Sub Club, The Berkeley Suite, La Cheetah and SWG3 as well as the club nights Pressure, Animal Farm, I Love Acid, Nightrave, Return to Mono, Co-Accused and 313 Connection.
Cementing the city’s status as the U.K.'s first UNESCO City of Music, this Techno gathering of the clans is a fitting way to celebrate Glasgow’s hosting of the 2026 Commonwealth Games, providing an exciting party ahead of the closing ceremony while showcasing one of the city’s most vibrant underground scenes.
It's only the 2nd time Slam have played in the Old Fruit Market with the previous party being 'Slam 88' in 2018. All other artists will be making their debuts in this unique space which holds so much heritage in their home city.  We have a massive production planned when we take over this iconic space with nothing spared on the sound system and lighting design. Please support Glasgow Techno Alliance by buying a ticket early. A big part will be spent on transforming the place and making this party one for the techno history books. With incredible future-focused music from amazingly talented DJs, we will transform this unique building into one of the best techno emporiums in the world, for one night only.
