The curatorial direction was responding to the shared theme “A Landscape of Change”, exploring how films reflect and shape transformations in society, identity and the world around us.This screening will feature works that traverse the topologies of care, both external and internal. We have worked with the Latin root of the term "curate," curare, to explore the tensions between the political and the personal. Across our works, familial connections, political tensions, climate catastrophes, and our curiosity about how far care can extend are reframed. As we navigate our internal and external terrains, change is revealed as care unfolds, leading to discovery, growth, and loss that persists through memory.
