The day begins with a welcome and introduction, giving you the chance to meet fellow participants and familiarise yourself with the workshop space. From there, one of our experienced woodworkers will guide you through every stage of the build, including measuring, sanding, assembling, plugging, and finishing your bench. Support will be available throughout, whether you’re a complete beginner or have previous woodworking experience.

By the end of the day (or ready to collect on another day), together, you’ll have built your very own Benbecula Bench — a handcrafted piece made entirely by you. Perfect for a community garden, shared space, or anywhere that could benefit from place to rest and relax!
