🍲 What You’ll Learn
🫘 Miso Making (Japanese Fermented Soybean Paste)
Learn how to make traditional Japanese miso using high-quality, domestically sourced ingredients, including pesticide-free soybeans. Miso is considered one of Japan’s most powerful and nourishing foods, and you’ll experience the full hands-on miso-making process.
The miso you make will be filled with beneficial bacteria that are uniquely suited to you, creating a truly special and nourishing miso for your body ✨
After preparing your miso, you’ll take it home to ferment. In Okinawa’s climate, miso typically finishes fermenting in about 6 months, but it can continue to develop deeper flavor for up to one year.
Once the weather gets warmer, I’ll be taking a break from miso-making classes (because it’s harder to ferment miso in the heat).
So if you’d like to join, this is the perfect time before it gets too hot 🌿✨
🍚 Miso Soup & Steamed Rice (Lunch Included!)
After making miso, we’ll enjoy a simple lunch together featuring freshly made miso soup and Japanese steamed rice.
🤎To support you through the fermentation process, we’ll create a group chat after the workshop and provide follow-up guidance for up to one year, until your miso is fully matured.
Each participant will take home approximately 2 kg of homemade miso.
👶 Children are welcome!
And if you bring your children, their happy, healthy bacteria will join too 🧒💛
