- **Event Name**: SMASH FOR THE POKES Launch Party + Cowboy Basketball Team Dinner
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 10 Oct, 2026 at 07:00 pm (-06:00)
- **Event Description**: Gillette, Let's Kick Off Cowboy Basketball Season Together!

The Pokes are coming to Gillette, and we're turning their Saturday night team dinner into a party.

Join us at The Railyard - Gillette on Saturday, October 10th at 7 PM as we host the University of Wyoming Men's Basketball Team the night before they take on Northern Colorado at the Pronghorn Center.

And we've got something pretty big to unveil.

Saturday night will be the official statewide launch of SMASH FOR THE POKES, our new season-long burger partnership supporting Cowboy Basketball.

We'll introduce The Starting Lineup, four smash burgers available at every Railyard location:

The Sundance Double
Cowboy Gold Smash
Railyard Triple Stack
The GBC, Gavin Gores' Wisconsin Beer Cheese Smash

And Gavin is just the beginning. Throughout the season, Cowboy players will get their turn creating a Featured Player Smash, giving fans another way to get to know the guys wearing the Brown & Gold.

For every Smash for the Pokes burger sold, $2 goes back to support Cowboy Basketball through the program's approved promotional structure.

This one has a little extra meaning in Gillette. Coach Sundance Wicks gets to bring the Cowboys back to his hometown to begin their schedule, and we want the community waiting for them. UW says last year's Gillette matchup drew a capacity crowd, and the Cowboys are looking for another huge atmosphere this year.

Come early, Wear Brown & Gold, Meet the Pokes, eat some ridiculously good burgers. Help us send the Cowboys into Sunday with a packed house behind them!
