In this hands-on MakerClass, you will learn how to create a custom laser-ready design using Adobe Illustrator and apply it to a stainless steel coffee tumbler or water bottle.
We’ll start by walking through the fundamentals of vector design in Illustrator, including working with text, shapes, alignment tools, and preparing artwork specifically for laser engraving. You’ll learn how to size your design properly for curved surfaces and how to think about contrast and depth for clean, professional engraving results.
Once your design is finalized, you’ll see the laser in action as your artwork is permanently engraved onto your container. This class blends digital design skills with real fabrication technology, giving you both creative ownership and technical experience.
By the end of class, you’ll walk away with:
