- **Event Description**: The Pumpkin Buttes Chapter of the Wyoming Archaeological Society is pleased to host Archaeologist Colin Ferriman for a presentation on his work with historic trails in Wyoming on December 11th at 6:00 p.m. at the Rockpile Museum in Gillette, Wyoming.  

Ferriman will discuss his work on well-known trails in Wyoming like the Oregon/Overland/Mormon Pioneer Trail as well as less famous routes such as the Carter Road. Learn about the historic research, maps, and survey work used to project a trail segment location. 

Colin Ferriman is a registered professional archaeologist. He has been working as a consultant archaeologist for over 25 years. Through this experience he has traveled all throughout the country from New Hampshire to Washington State conducting archaeological research and surveys. His home base is in Sheridan Wyoming where he lives with his wife Heidi, their son Bridger and lots of pets. He directs Cultural Resources Analysts, Inc.'s Rocky Mountain Office and in his off time Colin is very active with Sheridan Area Search and Rescue and he enjoys traveling and seeing the world.
