- **Event Description**: The Energy Capital Economic Development and the FUEL Business Incubator are pleased to announce that the 3rd Annual Energy Capital Start-Up Challenge Pitch Competition. We seek to identify the most promising of new business ideas and work alongside founders to bring their new ventures to life. 

New entrepreneurial activity is a significant element of economic development, and the Challenge identifies and develops successful entrepreneurs that will become solid contributors to our area’s economy.

The Energy Capital Start-Up Challenge fundraising is actively happening to achieve the $50,000 seed fund to help get the new ventures launched. Three winners will be identified through the process; each of the three will receive an initial cash award as part of the Pitch Night result. Subsequent to that, each winner will bring specific budget requests to our entrepreneur judge panel for a portion of the remaining seed fund.
