Join us for a springtime adventure as we create a countryside landscape with hot air balloons. On the last day we will celebrate spring by painting our own flower bouquets inspired by Van Gogh. Your artists will learn about perspective, mixing tints, and creating a sense of space and movement in their work of art.
What to expect each day:
The Hot Air Balloon project will take three days. This will be made on 18x24" mixed media paper.
Day 1: Create painted paper with process art supplies. Design and paint hot air balloons.
Day 2: Paint landscape with watercolors and acrylic paint. Add details to the hot air balloons.
Day 3: Design and assemble houses. Attach the hot air balloon and flowers.
Day 4: Paint a Van Gogh-inspired sunflowers on a 9x12" stretched canvas.
*The schedule can very slightly based on the pacing, needs, and interests of the students.
All materials are included. Smocks are provided, but please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
