The session will explore how we are socialized to think about gender and sexuality through topics such as evolving terminology, 2SLGBTQIA+ identities, and pronouns & gendered language.Participants will also learn about intersectionality and the unique experiences of marginalization that 2SLGBTQIA+ people face, as well as societal frameworks such as hetero-cis-normativity in both social systems and interpersonal dynamics. We will explore practical strategies for building a sustainable practice of allyship and advocacy.Who should attend:This workshop is ideal for service providers, educators, employers, volunteers, and community members who want to deepen their understanding of 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion.📅 Date: April 30, 2026🕔 Time: 5:00–7:30 PM📍 Location: Gibsons Public MarketLight refreshments will be provided.Registration:This is a free event. Please reserve your spot through Eventbrite. Capacity is limited to 100 participants. This workshop is best suited for adults in professional or community roles.
