Crokinole Nights @ Tapworks

Hosted upstairs on the patio by Crokinole Greg on the 2nd and last Wednesday of each month. Drop-in, friendly games. Singles and Doubles. No partner or experience needed. All boards provided.

Crokinole is a Canadian classic: a smooth wooden board, a handful of wooden discs, and one simple goal — flick your way to the centre, knocking everyone else out. Think shuffleboard and curling shrunk to table size. Easy to learn, not easy to stop.

Crokinole is a fast, disc-flicking game that’s been played in Canada since the late 1800s — part family heirloom, part bar sport. Players take turns snapping wooden discs across a round board, trying to sink the centre “20” hole (bullseye) and knock their opponents' discs into the gutter. It's a perfect mix of shuffleboard, curling, pool and darts.
