Embrace your artistic side with Rowe Sanctuary and Jude Martindale!

Learn to create Crane art through a variety of approaches taught by Jude. For those with no drawing experience, Jude has stencils and images to trace. Photographs of cranes will be available for everyone to use. Jude will demonstrate mixing colors for realistic cranes, but feel free to use any colors you might like for a whimsical feel! The supplies can be taken home with you to finish the beautiful art that you start in the workshop.

About the Artist:
Jude Martindale grew up in rural Nebraska and currently lives and paints in Lincoln. She studied biology and art for a BS from UNL before studying portraiture at the Art Students League of New York. Jude then earned a Masters in Scientific Illustration from the University of Arizona. Her recent book, “Flying Free”, showcases her illustrations of sandhill cranes in several different mediums. She has won many awards, and her art has been shown nationally and internationally. Her crane art is part of the permanent collection at the Great Plains Art Museum in Lincoln and April Sampson Cancer Center.
