We want you to be part of this global birding celebration! During the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC), you can help scientists better understand and protect birds around the world, all while having fun and possibly winning a prize. 

How to Participate: 
• Spend as little as 15 minutes watching birds 
• Identify and count the birds you see 
• Submit your observations using either eBird Or Merlin bird ID during February 13–16.  

Whether you’re brand new to birding or a longtime lister, your observations truly matter. Grab your binoculars, step outside, share what you see—and be part of something global 

Instructions on how to enter our prize drawing! 
We LOVE seeing your birding moments— and we want to reward you! Share your birding experience for a chance to win a birding-themed prize. (one entry per person for virtual engagement and one entry for attending in-person event ) 

1. Attend the in-person Great Backyard Bird Count Kickoff Event at the Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary 
 
 OR 

2. Participate in our online Facebook Great Backyard Bird Count Event (February 13–16) by sharing: 
 
 • Photos of birds 
 • Your bird list 
 • Photos of yourself birding 
 • Friends or family birdwatching 
 • Posts from your yard, neighborhood, or favorite birding spot 

Restrictions: Prize shipping is limited to the lower 48 states. 

The winner will be contacted after the event ends to collect shipping information.
