Pionera de la escena desert rock de Palm Desert, Yawning Man lleva desde los años 80 desarrollando un sonido absolutamente personal: guitarras hipnóticas, grooves profundos, psicodelia, surf, jazz, krautrock y paisajes cinematográficos que parecen avanzar lentamente por una carretera perdida en medio del desierto.

Una música instrumental, envolvente y física, que ha ejercido una enorme influencia sobre toda la escena que vendría después en el rock desértico, psicodélico y stoner. El trío formado por los sempiternos Gary Arce y Mario Lalli junto a Bill Stinson, llega con "Pavement ends" (14/11/2025), su séptimo disco de estudio de larga duración.

En esta ocasión le acompaña Soft Sun, el proyecto liderado por Gary Arce, guitarrista y fundador de Yawning Man, junto a la noruega Pia Isaksen. Una propuesta igualmente atmosférica y psicodélica, pero llevada hacia territorios más oscuros, etéreos y cercanos al shoegaze. Una combinación de belleza, distorsión, espacio y emoción.
