Course Audit Opportunity March 9 – 13, 2026
This course explores the developmental, systemic, leadership, and missional dynamics of congregations that are beginning, ending, and/or changing. In case studies of and guest speakers from real live congregations we will identify possible best practices and explore what adaptive leadership skills are needed to help congregations navigate Church in today's world.
Professor
The Rev. Dr. Karyn L. Wiseman is an ordained pastor in the United Church of Christ, who grew up in and was first ordained in The United Methodist Church. She has 20+ years of experience pastoring churches in Kansas, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Dr. Wiseman’s studies for her doctorate took place at Drew University. Her degree is in Liturgical Studies, Preaching, and Worship.
She has led numerous workshops, presented at both regional and national events, and taught courses in several seminaries across the country regarding preaching, worship, social media for ministry, clergy self-care, other important pastoral topics. Dr. Wiseman has a deep interest in Queer studies related to preaching and worship, as well as delving into the issues of Race, Gender, Sexuality, and Leadership.
March 9-13, 2026 on the Philadelphia campus or via zoom
Cost: $150 for alums, $175 for non alums.
