Program Presentation:
Mike Sager walked the Jerusalem Seam Line with his camera for several years.
The Seam Line is the Jerusalem Green line created by the ceasefire between Israel and Jordan between 1949 to 1967.
In Jerusalem it stretches as a kind of crescent, from near the Zoo in the south to Ramot in the north. The Seam is a strange part of Jerusalem. In some places there are relics remaining from 60 years ago. In others it has been effectively erased. Mike lives on this line, and is intrigued how 56 years later the line both persists and disappears.
He will be presenting work exhibited at the Ulster University School of Art for his MfA (Master of Fine Arts) project and explaining the background to his project.
