This semester, our student musicians explored the powerful art of film scoring, studying how composers use orchestral music to create adventure, emotion, suspense, and wonder on big and little screens.  From sweeping heroic themes to tender, heartfelt melodies, this program showcases music that brings unforgettable cinematic moments to life. The performance will include the Mozart String Ensemble, Mendelssohn String Orchestra, Chamber Strings, and Wind Ensemble, culminating in a featured performance by the GPAC Youth Symphony Orchestra with soloist Poppy Wang. Be sure to arrive early for a special pre-concert performance in the lobby by musicians from the Iris Collective Chamber Program.
