Welcome to Back to Nature: Women's Spring Retreat! Join us for a rejuvenating day at Love & Grit Farm LLC. This retreat is designed to provide you with an opportunity to reconnect with yourself, nature, and each other in a peaceful farm setting.
Focus on the simplicity of living mindfully and intentionally in nature. In a world where we are are often overburdened by responsibilities, the retreat offers tools to simplify your routines and reclaim your personal time.
Info: Join DeAnna for a introduction to Somatic Experiencing®. Through guided instruction, you'll learn how to mindfully connect with your body and surroundings, helping you ground, center, and become present. This practice is a beautiful way to deepen your self-awareness and create a sense of calm and ease as you enter into this retreat.
Info: With the energy of spring around us, we will awaken our life force energy with this vinyasa practice designed with ancient wisdom in mind to stimulate the detoxification process of the liver, remove stagnant energy within the body, and invigorate the mind and soul so enable us to flourish like the plants around us do this season.
Info: Take a walk through Love and Grit Farm's newest addition - a medicinal plant garden! Farmer Kristin Rydland and Clinical Herbalist Erin Antosh will show you how nutrient-rich compost is made on the farm, and how that compost impacts the medicinal value of the native therapeutic plants in the garden. You will learn about the health supportive properties of the botanicals growing in the garden, which therapeutic plants grow well in our area, and how to harvest your own locally grown medicine. You will have the opportunity to plant some medicinal herbs in the garden, and learn about the amazing (and well researched) mind-body benefits of getting your hands in living soil as well as kicking off your shoes and "grounding."
Info: Pumpernickel + Rye is a down-to-earth, homegrown market and new school deli with a modern vibe where our goal is to fulfill your body + soul cravings.
Info: Most people think of herbal teas as a simple soothing beverage, but if made properly, herbal teas (tisanes) can be potent tools for healing and maintaining health.
Clinical Herbalist Erin Antosh, Founder of Where The Good Grows, will discuss the power of incorporating an herbal tea ritual into your day as both a mindfulness practice as well as a tool for supporting your health. As you sip on nutritive herbal tea (caffeine free), Erin will demonstrate how to properly make medicinal-strength herbal teas, using methods such as super infusions and decoctions so you get the most health benefits out of the medicinal plants.
We will go beyond the standard peppermint and chamomile teas to introduce you to less common herbs that have powerful therapeutic properties. You will learn about therapeutic plants that reduce inflammation, support heart health/cholesterol, address anxiety and depression, as well as herbs that are so relaxing that they can be used as sleep aids, and herbs that detox
Info: This guided meditation practice is designed to gently bring the retreat experience together. You'll be invited to reflect on your journey, integrate what’s unfolded, and create space for journaling and quiet contemplation.
Info: Closing circle to share reflections and experiences from the day. A moment to celebrate the connections made and the personal growth experienced throughout the retreat.
