Ryan is the Assistant Vice President – Intermodal Sales at Union Pacific Railroad where he leads a team responsible for growing a diverse business portfolio through strategic efforts and strong relationships with Ocean Carriers, NVOCCs, and Freight Forwarders.

Ryan joined Union Pacific in 2005 as a Staff Auditor after earning Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Banking and Finance, at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Since then, Ryan Steinbach has held various leadership positions in Finance, Logistics, Marketing and Sales, including roles at a wholly owned subsidiary of Union Pacific, which provides the value of rail-centric logistics solutions across the North American rail system and beyond the end of the railroad tracks. 

This diverse and vast experience translates well into his current role as he and his team provide competitive rail transportation solutions, allowing customers to offer a superior door-to-door service product to the beneficial cargo owner community.

When not railroading, Ryan spends his free time outdoors and traveling with his wife Lindsey and two dogs.
