While we’re gathering to celebrate Haywire’s birthday, Haywire has asked that we also turn our attention to one of our own who needs us now more than ever.

If you’ve spent any time around the motorcycle community, you know we’re more than riders. We’re family. When one of us goes down, we don’t leave them behind.

A few weeks ago, Jess’s life changed in an instant.

While riding through Scottsbluff, a vehicle pulled out in front of her. The collision threw her approximately 20 feet into oncoming traffic. What followed was every rider’s nightmare.

Jess suffered a brain bleed that thankfully healed on its own, a broken sternum, multiple broken ribs, collapsed lungs, a shattered elbow, a broken back requiring pins and screws from T4 to L2, and a broken tailbone. She spent two weeks fighting in the ICU and now faces months of rehabilitation and the challenge of learning to walk again.

As if that wasn’t enough, she lost her job while she was hospitalized. The bills don’t stop coming just because life does, and right now she’s facing a mountain of expenses while fighting her way back.

But if there’s one thing bikers know, it’s that the road is easier when you’ve got people riding beside you.

So while we raise a glass for Haywire’s birthday, let’s also raise some hell for a good cause.

Let’s show Jess that she’s not fighting this battle alone.

Every dollar, every raffle ticket, every shirt purchased, every share, every prayer, and every show of support matters.

This isn’t charity.

This is family.

Let’s pack this place, have one hell of a time, and remind Jess what happens when a biker family circles the wagons around one of their own.
