- **Event Description**: Families are doing it tough right now, and all too often our own health and wellbeing are the first things to fall away in the juggle. Many of our instructors are mums who’ve been there themselves, and we’re deeply passionate about making sure women and mothers in our community have access to supportive, nourishing movement.

That’s why, for the next 8 weeks, Alt+State is offering a FREE weekly Community Barre class, with complimentary crèche included.
We know there can be so many barriers to caring for ourselves—especially in those early years of your children’s lives—and our hope is that this offering helps remove a few of them. We want you to feel genuinely welcomed, supported, and part of a beautiful, diverse community.

No previous experience in Pilates or Barre is needed.
Bookings are essential, but payment is not ?

What is Barre?
Barre is a low-impact, full-body workout inspired by ballet, blending elements of Pilates and strength training. It’s suitable for everyone—from complete beginners through to advanced dancers and athletes. Classes focus on graceful, simple, dance-like sequences, small pulsing movements, and isometric holds to build strength, endurance, and flexibility. You’ll work the lower body, core, back, and arms while engaging deep stabilising muscles.

Classes use the ballet barre for balance and support and may include light weights, resistance bands, or exercise balls. Core work is often done on a Pilates mat on the floor.
All equipment is provided—just bring a water bottle and grip socks.
