Only Yesterday: The Carpenters' Story

? We’ve Only Just Begun... ?

Calling all Georgetown-area fans of 1970s pop music! “Only Yesterday: The Carpenters’ Story” is coming live to the John Elliott Theatre for a one-night-only performance on Friday, February 22nd.

Direct from Canada’s premier producer of musical tribute shows, Bill Culp Productions, this incredible new show stars the dynamic duo of Christa Clahane and Bruce Tournay in the lead roles of Karen and Richard Carpenter.

With a distinctively soft musical style, the Carpenters are one of the best selling musical artists of all time, with over 100 million units sold. This audience-interactive performance features all of the classic Carpenters hits, coupled with interesting stories behind the songs themselves, and plenty of 1970s nostalgia.

“Christa Clahane combines Karen Carpenter’s warm vocal tone with a dazzling onstage charisma, while her partner Bruce Tournay captures the wonderful musical artistry of Richard Carpenter on piano” notes show producer Bill Culp.

Song highlights include “We’ve Only Just Begun”, “Rainy Days and Mondays”, “Close To You”, “Yesterday Once More”, “Top of The World”, “Calling Occupants Of Interplanetary Craft”, “Superstar”, There’s A Kind Of Hush”, and of course “Only Yesterday” amongst the many audience favourites.

Tickets for “Only Yesterday: The Carpenters’ Story” are on sale now via the theatre website - http://bit.ly/2H4HIfV - or by calling the box office at 905-877-3700.

See you at the show! ?
