Sussex County will enjoy a stocking stuffed with holiday cheer as Caroling on The Circle and the Georgetown Christmas Parade return together again in 2025 for one big night of music and marching units in downtown Georgetown, set for Thursday evening, Dec. 4!
Sussex County government will kick off the celebration in Georgetown starting at 6 p.m. that night with the 42nd annual Caroling on The Circle event, pepping up the community with the sounds of the season before giving way to the Town of Georgetown's Christmas tree lighting and the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce's Christmas parade, set for 7 p.m. Join us for an evening of holly, jolly good times as the public comes together to celebrate the season, and do their part to help the less fortunate in our community.
WBOC-TV personality Jason Lee will host the evening's festivities, including traditional and Spanish carols performed by long-time favorites Kevin Short and Ed Shockley, as well as the El Centro Cultural group and St. Michael's Catholic Church Children's Choir!
The event is free to attend. Participants are asked simply to bring non-perishable food items for donation.
Food items will be collected that night, but donations can be dropped off from now until the end of December, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the County Administrative Offices building, next to the courthouse, in Georgetown.
And again this year, monetary donations will be accepted through the County's partner, the Food Bank of Delaware. Visit fbd.org/caroling to make your donation today!
